Saluting with misty eyes

Who will drive your soul
As you wander your path
Through this world
That is so bereft of any life
With which to offer meaning
Unto those who drift alone
Seeking   Searching   Screaming
Begging for another soul to understand
The pain offered by an existence
Within their own heads
They cannot fight it
So they continue to look to you for the answer
As they ask you once again
Who will drive your soul

Looking for answer used to be a futile attempt by me and I spent decades looking. Finally I stopped looking to answers fro others and looked inward. There is where you will find the answers.

Very beautiful response to that challenge, dear Bradly. In fact, it is as you say, we need to reach out, because TOGETHER we walk this path of life much better. And then of course I also believe we have the Eternal Source of Light within us Who is forever vigilant and loving and guides our souls back into the light if we get stuck on dark sideways.

Very nice work.

I liked this distraught piece, I can relate.
And of course it is true what they say about looking inside. Easier said than done is true as well.
