Gabble, Gobble

Ah, now . . .
I've always found magic in flowers,
the artistry, the beauty, the color,
the way they sway the soul,
caress the heart,
elicit a smile,
touch one . . .
in ways nothing else can do.

I photographed a fairy once,
hiding in a Butterfly Orchid
(the soft and purple one below),
and today, I chanced upon . . .,

well, I leave that up to you,
but I swear, I heard them too,
gabble, gobble,
you don't say,
oh but I do,
she wouldn't dare,
the nerve!

Caught them in the act, I did,
and only one-half inch red tip to tip,
hiding at the end of a Milkweed stem (Butterfly Weed)
the Monarch's favorite plant of all.

But how I ask,
can the Monarch put up with them!
Gabble, Gobble,
talkin' in the wind !

Hah! Truly wonderful wordplay, J, capturing the imagination, and the photo's were good, I liked the fairy in the top one best, but it was a difficult choice.

Ethome ... flowers have so much beauty, in so many ways, my friend.  And some want us to belive they come from a "big bang".  Well, The Yellow Nannies (which is what I call them), Maybe . . .
