If one more prayer i may desperately make,
my last breaths whimpering humbly to fate,
I will plea for the courage and ask for the faith
to go back to that most sacred place

where you were molested by the devil, that snake
as i napped in the garden, i wasn't awake
and it stole your virginity. Lives were at stake.
Now I face the dragon for grandchildrens sake.

I will not be sleeping, or caught unaware.
You bit me before, serpent. I know you're there
whispering lies to my darling at night.
You flatter her conscience saying " it is alright ".

I will be watching. Many prayers will I make
for Light in the shadows to dispel all thats fake.
The Lord is my courage, in Him is my faith.
He will restore us; Amend our mistakes.

We  once were naive, like lambs for the take.
But ages have passed and the man is of age.
My strength in its prime will high bough and branch shake.
The spell you have charmed my poor dove with will break.

By grace my staff, and truth my rod,
your fangs will be broken at the will of my God.
Eve will bear children to save this creation
for Adam is here now; her shield and salvation.

Nice bit of recreating the Garden and its troubles, but in my opinion, the devil, i.e., the snake has long ago won the battle and is now reaping his ill-gotten rewards.

Enjoyed your perspective.
Jerry has a point, but if I may elaborate,
(Forgive me Jerry) that old serpent is about
to get his, and he knows its coming, so he
will try to take as many as he can with him.
