The Moon Also Rises (Firehoney #2)

Firehoney,
what do the stars scream when you grin
have the angels shed their wings just to let you win
are you still stealing candy from the devil
and tell me why your gypsy ways take their pretty toll
oh well, oh well
I fell for
the evil spell you poured
like molten lava from your eyes
and I wonder why I even try,
firehoney

Mystic Blue,
why do fireflies explode when you rise
you're out to conquer summer nights with Neptune eyes
and do you still mean to cut my timid soul
and recklessly collect the pieces of me to create a greater whole
oh no, oh no
I know you
and the color you go through
like nightfall in Colorado skies
and I wonder why you need to fly,
mystic blue

Ooh honey,
spread your heart feathers out like money
but hey the moon also rises
so put away your coy disguises
and let me admire you as you are
as the light creases the boulevards
oh yeah, the sun also sets
le belle dame sans regrets,
don't forget me
don't be afraid to interpret meaning
in my songs
anyway, you're never wrong

Gypsy girl,
what colorful flags you've stuck into me
there's nothing at all special for you to claim, you see
I'm just moon poet boy of romantic leanings
a loser rider caught up in leather layers of pathetic dreaming
hey hey, hey hey
I'm just sayin',
can you dance to the music I'm playin'?
like a soulful ballerina of the night
still I wonder if I'll ever fit you right,
gypsy girl

Stay sunny,
spread your heart sweetness like honey
but hey the moon also rises
lighting up your love life's crisis
stuck in reverse, in the backseat to love
between the things you're dreaming of
you see the sun also sets
still there's a key you haven't turned yet
don't forget me
don't fear the twilight's last gleaming
in the sky
anyway, it's just you and I

Firehoney,
what does the moon think when you think
do the cities fall to ash for your slightest teasing wink
are you still loaning the sky your precious light
and tell me that your gypsy ways  could really fit me right
oh well, oh well
I truly fell for
the waves lapping up on my lonely shore
like the shades of imperfect blue in your eyes
can I wander down the dreamy boardwalk of your thigh,
firehoney?
And tell me why I even try
to catch you,
dear firehoney

"I fell for

This verse sings on its own.
Nice song.
Yeah, ya gotta watch that firehoney...
Sweet to the taste, but like acid
to your heart.
