I never did pay too much attention
to horse shoes, unless they were discarded
on the escalator the morning after
somewhere between my jungle gym
and that dirty girl playground

yes I am sure you will find your answer
between the leaves of some story
with happy endings and no brambles
but the love scenes will be boring
without some peeking between your fingers

and of course those vulgar sounding words
that the animals make when mating
like you have recorded on your iphone
for when you go shopping at the zoo
for the black ones or the smooth ones

like we had as pets under your trampoline
