Not much in the way of inspiration tonight
Love is distant for the moment
as a quiet peace settles over the delicate quixotic

Love is a comfort
a settled mind
not jealous of travel companions
in a distant room

avoiding the inevitable brewing storm
her mind wanders blocks the wonders
of relationship ponders

she's broken many a heart along the way
leaving prospective lovers
to their heart's decay

all for the save
all for the sake
of one man

what will she do?
does she have a plan?

Jealousy is a dangerous branch ridden tree
full of capable violence
or intelligent actions of debauchery

and here I am
the third wheel
far off in a quiet land

the only one of calm mind
who will sleep sleep soundly
with the quiet sand

It is always sad to hear of or read of cases of crime due to jealousy, be it arsenic and old lace, social poisoning, or the O.J. Simpson-type thing. I mean, it is really sad, and not just for all of those directly involved.

As you put it, "intelligent actions of debauchery" can sometimes relieve the feelings, but sooner or later at least some sympathy (and real humility) must be learned, too. Seems that that is one of our tasks here.

Thanks for a good write---it got me thinking and ranting again!
