I watched from the roof
to the cries that were so loud, it was hard to hear the traffic and breeze
She cried like the night waiting for the sun
Like the wolves that stare for another right side of their meal
She cried so loud, the murals on the walls became faded

She cried for the deepest of memories
The deepest of scorns that left her paralyzed, terribly ill
But jaunting her eyes like a fall from the Himalayas
She dried her eyes waiting for him to cease the corner,
To peace the fallen locks of hair that came from her head
As she waited like the tombstones for another rose

Another chance to see his tall dark hair
Breeze with the dry air and drink
A laugh with his bronze skin, teal eyes
For a chance to be a woman without the saddle of
A nightmare that wonÕt share a smile
A torment of the chills from her back and
Tingle down her legs
Until the sun rises to another couple, another new born child,

Not to her sad brown eyes, and the minute keeps moving
The crowd keeps roaring, and she sits on her balcony,

With her small wrists waiting.
.

A powerful and poignant poem. Good handling of deep emotion.
