Like me the wind sighs long,
spring has arrived, bringing hope.
Bright, soft green leaves,dress trees.
Flowers rejoice the warmer arrived days.
Bird clocks started,the race for
new life their only concern now.
We sit on, watching, wishing for
something, anything, other than what
we have,do we live too
long?Should we live as wild
creatures, short but imediately urgent lives?
Frenetically living life fully, no lingering?
Counting the seasons stretching on
before us, warm amber sun on
our faces, beauty of wild things
held in our hearts safely, do
we need or want anything more?

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage. Lao Tzu 6th century BC.

I really like that first line.  You captured the feelings well and ponder some interesting questions...  makes you wonder.  All moments are relative, so it's important to savour them...

"To all things there is a season."

I don't know if I can answer your queston even for myself...  Are we even ready for more than we have been given? I am in awe of small birds, and life that reflects the wonder of creation, because moments are what we have, and are often the sum of it all.

Lovely work!
