you smiled big smiles
and laughed at me,
over a long island.

from all the way across
the long side of an oblong table
you asked interested questions
and listened to the stuttered answers.

you smiled big smiles
and stared at me
as much as I, you.

if only I'd have driven myself
I could have joined you
for a beer
at your place.

Damn.

Fall in love early, fall in love often.

All I have is Corona - but I have a great tequila collection started!

Good poetry stuff, Paul.

PS - seems to me you said something once about not doing tequila.  Oh well, I guess I'll have to just drink it myself.  You can have the Corona.  Too bad for you!
