Perhaps it was an omen, or a warning, who's to say
The day light seemed opressive cast in baleful shades of gray
Adding more to weight of burdens being carried far too long
An impending sense that something soon would go completely wrong

As high up in the ballustrades an evil genius lurks
It's there the Goth Lord Balladeer conducts his heinous work
Dark circles rim his sunken eyes above a crooked grin
"This will be your assignment class, now, ready, set, begin!

Its columns stretching skyward in the glowering clouds of mist
Our Gotham City classroom proves that such things might exist.

It ith not only pothible to Goth up Balladeer
You thimply catht him in that role ath we have done right here
You put thumb makeup on hith faith and dreth him all in black
Then wait for he will thurly thtage a Gothic counter-attack

Unleth he geth all tongue-tied from hith pierthing Alithon
But either way we're bound to have thumb real Gothic fun
