Thanks Alison! I meant to post it last week during the Full Moon but I came down with a nasty sinus infection and couldn't life my head off the couch!

So, last weeks Full Moon is known as the snow moon as the Native Americans believed that Feb. was the month that got the most snow!!

I'm so sick of winter.  Ahhhhh!

This is soft-finger exquisite, Marti - both the poem and the picture, and so extra mystical to a South African who doesn't know snow.  Thank you for this special gift.

exquisite, plus it made me do my homework on flowers...have bunches of them blooming through the snow and never know what they are (planted by the lady who built our house, not me) I have jonquils, day lilies, daffodils, and hyacinth in bloom right now. lovely write

Diane, it is truly mystical and magical to see spring's early flowers pop through the snow. This picture was from last year. I question with ALL the snow we've received this year if I will ever see this kind of picture again.

Thank you.  ooxx  Marti

steavenr, you are most fortunate to have all those spring flowers in your yard. Glad you were able to find out about the
Helleborus! They are such an interesting flower.

Amazing picture and words, dear Marti.

You imagine what it means to break the ice for a tender bud that dreams of the sun? It is humbling and encouraging in the same time.

Helleborus I found out too is a "Christrose". They are magnificent indeed.

Warm hugs,
Margherita

love both the pic and your wonderful poem...your title was great, too

There must be a poem in here somewhere.

Marti, the Helleborus flower budding through the snow in early spring, is indeed mystical. Almost as mystical and beautiful as misty lilacs that bloom in later spring.

Love you!
