Come closer little feather
if you are meant for me
and so it moved, I paid no heed,
because still too far from my belief.

Lo behold it moved again
right to my special place
to be lovingly retrieved
by the specialness in me.

It's the flight of angels, don't you know,
that drop their calling cards
at the feet of pain and anguish
like a panacea.

I have it now inside the mind
that angels know of life's betrayal
and through the everyday mundane
bring comfort to the weak.

If nothing changes it must be
simply because I don’t believe!

Love this. Was it a white feather? Thanks for going there with this.

Thanks, Lori.  No, it was a grey and white feather.  It actually moved three times (didn't fit with the poem though).  It's almost as if it heard me because to end up where it did was amazing considering the force of the wind here.  I guess if it helps to believe then believe - no harm done.

Very nice Helen.
Like the drifting thoughts in this and the life's reflection.

A very interesting poem that made me think.  Helen, I really like the ending in particular.  Nice work!

There must be a poem in here somewhere.

Thanks Eric and Faith.  Drifting thoughts?  Yes, I'm guilty of that even though I know they should be focused and stable to be of any use.

Ah, yes, my friend and fellow believer! I got little tingles as I read of your experience. It reminded me of one that I had. I was unknowingly walking by the front of an Angel store and a tiny white feather came whirling done from the sky and drew my eyes to the store. Of course I ventured within and came out with an arm-load of angelic treasures! ~ and of course, I still have that 'angel' feather! Thanks for the reminder! Angels are all around us!

Love 'n hugs,
Linda
