Kacy, I was thinking about you and Sara today, and was reminded how you always remember my motto, and one thing led to another.  I am afraid my muse is on vacation these days, must be somewhere with my time.   Such as it is, this one's for you especially!

Sharon, thank you for posting this. This is a very good motto to live by. It is my motto, too. Believe me, it isn't always easy to live by. But, I do try!

Sharon,

I was listening to a singing duo yesterday and the woman wrote a song based on the following quote -

"Would you rather be right or at peace?"

Carpe' Diem,

Alison

Sharon, thank you! Each day really is precious. You are the first one I think of whenever I see the words Carpe Diem...it seems to be a personal 'blaze' on your forehead, and it sure fits you!

Enjoy your evening, watch the sunset for me. Its been cloudy at night, and we had thunderstorms this afternoon. Maybe it will clear enough for me to see Mars tonight!

This was fun to make actually, and thank you for enjoying it.  Kacy and her daughter stayed with me one time, and I think we both share the same outlook on life.  A kind of "Go For It" attitude.  I do wish more would not let fear stand in their way of what could be a fantastic experience.

My next "Gottado" is ride that roller coaster in Las Vegas with ma buds, then when I am older, and quietened down - a hot air balloon ride with those same buds.

"then when I am older, and quietened down"
I cannot imagine you quieting down, you'll ALWAYS be out there for an adventure...even if its just to take your grandaughters on a shopping spree in a mall
Enjoying this write again this morning
BTW, Sara is now at Cape May NJ, for Coast Guard basic training. Her 'home base' in October will be the Pacific NW. Any surprises there? LOL. And I will be returning 'home' to the Pacific mid October, somewhere between Port Townsend and Portland area.

What a marvelous gift these two Latin words are! Thank you for sharing the wonderful poem inspired by Kacy, these words, and others in your life.

   Awesome thoughts and poetry!

Wonderful, absolutely stunning Mysteria, we should all live by that motto. And I say that also because I've been seriously ill three times in my life from the same illness, and I know what it means to try to live life to the full now and when we are so fortunate to have it.  What a wonderful idea you have put into life here with this splendid poem.

Hmmmm puts ideas in my head, my name is Wallace, our clan motto is "Pro libertate" (for freedom), not bad either, don't you agree? Perhaps I should have lived in the days of Sir William Wallace (some call him Braveheart).  He was also a fighter

Thank you for sharing your wonderful poem with us all.

Thanks you guys/gals.

I think it takes going through a lot to get "it" actually, or really being in tune with your inner self maybe?  It is only through those trials and tribulations that those things most important to you will surface. It will not be the things in your life, but the people always.  Once you get "it",  the real "it," nothing else will matter again.  I spend my money now on those I love, as I won't be here later to see them enjoy it.  I use those "for show towels," and absolutely can not live without high thread count sheets on MY bed, to heck with the company.             I clean my house after people leave, never before, what a waste of time.  LOL.  I have candlelight dinners for one, and can actually eat an entire pint of ice cream, and do!

I never feel sorry for those that are dying, but truly miss them, and think of them often to keep them alive.  It is those that are afraid to live I feel most sorry for.

Heart2Heart - I wish you lived next door, we would enjoy a great chat I am sure.  I have always wanted to go to Scotland (being Scottish and Irish) so who knows we may yet meet one day.  In the meantime, you truly remind me of Elizabeth Santos, one of the great lady poets here as you have a great attitude.  It is way better to count your blessings than your obstacles.  Positive energy will always bring you positive energy.  By the way, love your family motto, and here is mine, being a MacRae, it is fortitudine vincimus, meaning by endurance we conquer.  I think it just means I am damn stubborn myself!

Look at our Midnitesun (Kacy)

That is the kindest and sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me dear Mysteria.  For those that are not aware of the noble Macrae clan badge motto, here it is: "Fortitudine" (which I love).  The tartans come in several patterns, the hunting one is a favourite of mine and a particularly beautiful one.  I don't know which branch you hail from Mysteria, but it is said that the founder of the Kintail branch of the family was Fionnla Dubh Mac-Gillechriosd who died in 1416, so it's truly of an old and stately heritage you descend from.

Hey, I think I saw your picture in the dictionary under "Carpe Diem" the other day!

You know I loved this Sharon.  I will definately print this and appreciate all of the wisdom throughout the lines, as I know they come from much life experience. Beautifully written.

PS. I look forward to that roller coaster and balloon ride when you're a little older, lol.

PSS.  Our Scottish family motto is:  Ab Obice Saevior "All The Stronger When Opposed" (knew you'd like that one, lol)

Best wishes and hugs,
/Kit

Yo dear Mysteria,

I like this poem a lot--particularly that part about speaking your mind.  I’m sure Kacy will love, and remember it.

Love Bobby

Love the family motto Kitster, and you do live up to it too

Glad you enjoyed it Bobby.

XGarapanX - It's not as hard to do as one may think.
