The clouds were lit in sunfire
their textured beauty filled the sky

Much more beautiful than I recall noticing in a long time

I looked for meaning
all I could see was glory
And wonder

as my tears released
I thought about you
I knew you were afraid

I prayed for your peace, for your loved ones

And the earth continued
as it always does

glorious

and then I pondered your life
how it is like the magnificent sky
you are so beautiful
so compelling and lovely

of how I will miss you when it is your time
but I don’t want to say good-bye

not yet.

A very touching and sensitive write, Copperbell.
