Though I am not one to gush,
I read the work of my fellow poets
regularly and with great interest.
I find the master poets to be
kind, courteous and humble.
Never reaching for praise
they do not deserve
and yet deserving
the most generous accolades.
It's as if the precious gift
of talent
is only given to those who deserve it.

I concur with your sentiments, my Dear Ida Belle.

"and yet deserving
the most generous accolades.
It's as if the precious gift
of talent
is only given to those who deserve it."

~ and with all sincerity, I repeat your words to you.

Love you, POETESS,
Linda

Words of the Uni-Verse that writes open mind, where most poets have not reached the Pedestal that only time can give them. Your words ring out in the depth of the true soul of Poetry. One must first look inside and then explore outside the shell of conformity, in the diversity to explore the Free Verse of our own Uni-Verse into the Universe of others.

Poetry has no Label and one should never Judge as the Supreme Court.

Very well written verse as a master poet.

You Rock! So True!

I post my poems, sometimes they get replies sometimes not, if it touches someone, strikes a chord, a mutual connection, that makes me happy, for I feel as if it were a gift, sent to my heart to write, to touch theirs.

You hit the nail on the head with this one, dear Ida.

Humbleness is such a great virtue.

My Dear Ida;  For some reason your words remind me of a poem by  "Rudyard Kipling"
"L'ENVOE " one part says "And only the Master shall praise us, and only the Master shall Blame.  And no one shall work for money and no one shall work for fame." there is more of corse.  It is a poem I have always enjoyed.

Love 'un stuff
