A Seaweeds Life

I wandered lonely with the tides
Across the mighty seas
My green and floating limbs
Like branches on a tree

Fish took refuge below me
Swimming safe in the gloom and dark
All different types and colours
Like a fishes Noah's Ark

My seaweed body is turning brown
Drying from the burning sun
Soon I will sink below the sea
From whence my life begun

I wandered lonely with the tides
Across the mighty seas
Now I sink below the ocean
Like a drowned and broken tree.

I've never met a Seaweed I didn't like! Well, I've never actually met a Seaweed before. Pleased to make your acquaintance.

This poem has very 'deep undercurrents' and I was truly moved by this fine, metaphorical piece of writing.

The sway and rhythm and also the words in this fine write reminds me of that old classic "I wandered lonely as a cloud".  As ever you captivate my heart with your handsome poems Andrew.  Another keeper.
