Days and nights and the universe
I
The musty monsoon
insects with swelled bellies
soggy paper boats.
II
Curiosity
a black feathered bird peeps in,
there is no return.
III
Close the eyes, its night.
A bat has taken a bite;
the fruit rolls away.
IV
The desolate rails.
Millions of butterflies,
they reign the wild shrubs.
V
Crystallized water,
this rock has witnessed years,
a fly has more eyes.

hello Poddarku, this poem is sweet when we don't hurry and weigh the words and the images, succession of haikus cristalize thoughts and give to the reader a transparent serenity...Thanks for sharing.

I love this one best, but all are very good of course. Wow, is there a place where there are so many butterflies (like in "One hundred years of solitude" by G. Marquez?).

This morning while driving I was mentally writing a haiku containing butterflies ...
will see if I remember it!

Beautiful, dear Kushal!

Love,
Margherita

Magnificent, Kushal.   Echoing Yann and Margherita's responses, except that I am not sure which is my favourite.  It seems to keep on being the one that I am reading at the time.

Hi! Ku!

These are fantastic! My personal favs are #1 and #4. The first one because I could really feel the damp, cloying heat and with the fourth one I could vividly envision it. As a girl, I used to walk abandoned railway tracks and I remember all the butterflies that flitted about them.

They all were great!!!

Love 'n a hug,
Linda
