(Hi y'all! Just had a blast volunteering at the 2009 Waterfront Blues Festival: the second-largest blues festival in the nation and the largest west of the Mississippi River! Being the largest annual benefit for the Oregon Food Bank as well, it especially felt good helping free Oregon from food insecurity, one donation at a time, where I was on hand filling boxes with non-perishable goods, sealing them up with a tape gun, loading them into the back of the Oregon Food Bank truck and warming up the crowd with cheerleading routines! In fact, I was blessed to be alongside the A&E Front Porch stage on Friday evening as the Zydeco Swamp Romp heated up, and quite a few people cheered me on for my zydeco dancing!

I've got a few new writes on the way inspired by a lot of the music I heard, but for now here's another classic summer write of mine to tide you over! You can see exclusive video of me on site there on YouTube, and I'll have actual video footage of some exciting performances there uploaded this week as well!)

Vulpecula Vixen
By: Noah Eaton
8/2/04

She's usually just a bit shy,
she's quite an overlooked star in the sky,
but tonight she's prowling,
through her Coathanger Cluster,
so she can make the most of this blue moon night.

Radio operator to the tower,
can you see the aberration of light from CR 399,
can you feel these signals of love,
pulsing faster than the speed of light,
to the Earth from the sun?

Atomic, supersonic belle,
electrifying yellow dwarf knockout bombshell,
she's a looker, lookin' out for love,
if you really want her, then keep lookin' up.

Baily's Beads on the rim of her eyes,
when she winks, she beams moonglare,
flourescent rainbow dreadlocks hum neon in the night,
her clair de lune skin singing auroras,
to make the high life amplified...

Atomic, supersonic belle,
electrifying yellow dwarf knockout bombshell,
she's a looker, lookin' out for love,
if you really want her, then keep lookin' up.

.
.
.
(She struts around,
in her nine-inch high HH-LE-555-Monoceros',
in her liquid light space skirt,
and sea foam prism cape,
spreading intergalactic mirth...)
.
.
.
(...she can blow you a kiss,
from one end of the universe to the other,
quicker than eight minutes and twelve seconds,
the amount of time it takes,
for the sun's light to reach the Earth!)
.
.
.

.
.
.
An overlooked star in the sky,
has become the silver apple in everyone's eye,
can you feel those signals of love,
coloring our universe,
at the heliacal rising of her heart.)

Atomic, supersonic belle,
electrifying yellow dwarf knockout bombshell,
she's a looker, lookin' out for love,
if you really want her, then keep lookin' up.

Ooooohhhh, love, love, love,
love brings our universe together,
ooooohhhh, love, love, love,
every moment is brighter.
Ooooohhhh, love, love, love,
love brings our universe together,
ooooohhhh, love, love, love,
love brings our universe together...

Yo Mistletoe Angel,

This is great.  I really like your pictures, and your stars, and your neat poem.

BTW, food insecurity is hell, I’ve been there, and perhaps you have too.

Noah,

Opening your poetry is really like opening a gift.  This is wonderful.  I love the poetry, the colors, your pictures and your descriptions.  This is a gift for sure.

I remember this one! How could I forget this dazzling, cosmic beauty! Look up, sweet Noah, that Vixen is blowing you a kiss!

btw, I just popped in to a few of your videos on YouTube and I got a real kick out of you doing your happy dance at the recent Blues Festival! Gosh, I want some of what you're drinking! ~ Probably a Booster Juice!

Loves 'n funs,
EA
