Beauty in loss
Is a bittersweet irony
That oft makes me cross
At the Gods' cold symphony

Beauty in loss
Is a bittersweet irony
That is a spreading moss
Overtaking life's cacophony

Beauty in loss
Is a bittersweet irony
That seems to have no cause
But to create heartbreaking litany

Beauty in loss
Is a bittersweet irony
That seems only to please Eros
And to leave us in agony

Beauty in loss
Is a bittersweet irony
That oft makes me cross
At the Gods' cold symphony
