A State of Disarray

“Steps are all you need
To find your way there
To love and to passion
And to someone who cares.

There are rules, however.
You must take each one
Otherwise you start over.
Think of it as fun.”

He said in a whisper
“Now close your eyes.”
She did as he said,
Hearing a smile in a sigh.

Excited and thrilled
She waited for her time.
“This is the payment
For all of your crimes…”

She opened her eyes.
And soon began to cry.

Interesting poem has a sense of anticipation about it but in the end a sense of disappointment,

Nice write it evokes images to fill in the story's meaning.

Is that those rocks over off the coast of Scotland?
