I call the pattern juggler back
his work is not yet done,
the courtyard stands in disarray
the colors drip and run.

The whitewash of the years gone past
is slowly stripped away,
as distant echoes resonate
into the present day.

No more await the firewitch
her summon's been fulfilled,
she casts her spells before the king,
the slightest breeze is stilled.

A lullaby in ancient tongue
is murmurred through the crowd,
in witness to this grand event
the night gives up its shroud.

As dawn reclaims its rightful place
such memories swift fade
until such time that once again
our roles shall be replayed.

Consigned for now into that realm
wherein we find our dreams,
though was a time not all appeared
as simple as it seems.

nice one. Liked this part best:

so, I say, "Right arm and farm out!"

(though I lived through that era, my kids accuse of me of totally sleeping through it, cause I have no idea who King Crimson is. Was he before or after Elvis?)

Thank you. By choice I have a very small readership ( not to be confused with the Mothership ). This allows me much freedom of movement within Passions. In fact, I'm almost invisible for someone that has been here nine years. My anonimity is rumored to be famous in certain circles which often show up in crops around the world, but I digress, I only wished to thank you for your kind reply.

Thank you m'friend. The music of that time was my biggest inspiration to start writing poetry. To this day, I still listen and (hopefully) learn.
