Up/down, up/down,
and perhaps it’s true to say
love is like a little child
in hop and skip all day.

I smiled, you know, like women do
when the children play
and I knew at once like women do
that I live right in the middle
of love’s so merry hop.

And who can hang suspended
in the middle of a hop
and touch the very essence
of who is living there?

But I smiled, you know, like women do
after the tears are wrung
and taken from the heart to mind
to dry up on the logic.

And I have a line of logic
in the middle of a hop
but too that goes up/down
until I smile like women do
and say, “To hell with it”.

So you see I’m here today
in the middle of a hop
where neither love nor logic
stands with me in mid-air
but I smile, you know, like women do
because I already know
nothing stays suspended
in the middle of a hop!

Amazing things happen when one lives in the middle of a hop!  Thanks so much, Eric.

SweetFriend~
I always tell the grandie girlies, when they inquire as to "How far is it ? When are we going to GET THERE ?", that it's a hop, skip and a jump ... then they love getting to the end of the hop ... forward to the skip ... and joyous feet first into the JUMP !

I like your hoppity little self dear lady~

Well now, Marge, I'll have to put my mind to "the jump" with the same excitement as the grandie girls because I happen to think that the only way forward is to go back to innocence.  Maybe that's a bit deep but then again going right down results in a bigger jump.  Wow, I think I'm getting away from myself.

Thank you Marge for your comment and for the other!  Much appreciated.

Thanks Arctic W!  I did some interesting hops myself today when my garden faucet broke and I stupidly tried to fix it with the water pouring up and out.  Some things are beyond a woman like me!  Sigh!

Lovely to see you here, Martie.  Hope you are well and of course you understand because you're one of those special women who do.
