Listening to every heart

Falling Apart

Words run sing-song in my heart
tripping over each other, laughing
at falling apart

running, dashing through these memories
laughing, cavorting and making
sport of me

sometimes little words, over and over again
like “I love you”, “I adore you”
and then

briefly steps in some misery so old
“I told you so” steps forth bold
and then it's when

words run sing-song in my heart
tripping and laughing
at falling apart.

Sissie........I think sometimes words do have a life of their own....jumping first, for the joy of it, then wollowing in the deepest deep of sadness.  Loved this!
