Felix Hates The Liar

People have been lying to Felix
all his life.

Mom said Dad would be back
pretty soon.

That was a lie.

Dad never showed his face
again in that house.

The pretty social worker lady
told Felix
he would like his foster home.

The people would be kind,
and treat him well.

That was all a lie,
a fabrication
of enormous proportions.

Nothing was ever
further from the truth.

His foster Dad,
promised him this,
and promised him that,
if he would just work
hard and long for nothing.

It was just more worthless lying.

Felix never lies to anyone.
He knows what will happen
if you lie.

Those lies will come
right back on you,
and bite you in the tale.

Never-ever lie to a kid.

Bobby

This is good advise Felix. I guess I'm okay.
I get into more trouble for telling the truth than for lying. (sometimes people don't like to hear the truth)

Yes, dear Bobby, when lies are uncovered they hurt so much and a child remains so confused.

Felix learns his lessons quickly, I see.

Bravo.

Love,
Margherita

At least Felix learned this truth, which evades so many so-called grownups.

Secondhanddreampoet,

Thanks for the kind applause.  I’m pleased it worked for you.

Margherita,

Thanks Hon.  Felix always was a quick study.  He says thanks for the kind words.

Midnitesun,

Felix grew up fast.  He learned things early.  Thanks for your kindness.

Juju,

Yes, Felix will continue.  He’s got a big mouth.  I’m pleased you are enjoying the series.  Felix says thanks.

Gentle Spirit,

Yes, that’s true.  Truer words were never spoken.

sometimes it's not even good to lie to an adult

that might get a person hurt really bad these days

Yann,

Thanks for that.  I'm pleased it worked for you.

Have you ever been lied to?
