OK folks,  I am very concerned (Not!) at the posturing of 2 of my fellow Pipsters. I note they have retaliated in Open 42 & I shall respond accordingly when I have had time to devise a fitting riposte. In order to clarify what you are about to read below, In the UK if you are asked not to darken the doors of an establishment again, you are what is termed Barred ( or banned) Now I am not trying to suggest that 'Deer would abuse his position as a moderator & ban me, I just wanted to make sure you the reader can follow the gist of what I am saying. I welcome the challenge being placed at my door by my fellow poets but should there be any blood spilt, don't blame me.... or should that be Do-Ray-Me ???

Toe and ‘Deer, I’m pale with fear…

Hey!..! I was only having fun…

Me? I’m game, I call myself;

Barred? For simply having fun??

So, they both want me dead…

Aagghhh, my throat they won’t let go…

Gee, was it something that I said?

Which brings me back to....

Why I’m here.....Quaking in my boots with fear,

They think they’ve got me on the run …

See,  me shake I’m beside my self….

Ah, but I do not think so….

So,  shall  I be the one they dread?

Yah,  They’ll wish that they were dead…

For there will be only one  who can win,

And you are now looking at him….

(So they should both give up and go….)

Do.. a female DEER, Ra.. a ray of sunshine or something like that. I don't have a mountain to climb so I don't know the words, Me.. I call myself.
AH! Now where was I. Oh! A war with the terrible two.
Lay down your swords and be friends and have a cup of tea.
Hugs

Hey Roniece! You had dinner in the Dessert?? I know you must mean desert & no offence but  I have this vision of a coach full of elderly people sitting on the coach covered from head to foot in food singing “The wheels on the bus” etc... You did not have ‘Deer & Toe on board did you? I imagine they would need a little help to eat, being as they are obviously quite old & feeble. It must be so hard for the elderly guys to have to move over for the likes of us younger, better, good looking masters of dazzling wit....

Margherita,
Frightened I am not, there is nothing to fear, I am akin to Lancelot & can defeat any foe especially Toe & Balladeer ! If they want to fight, I am ready. If they want to submit, they only have 1 day to admit defeat.Today peace on, tomorrow...Peace O
Ptional...

James, you worry to much, I am surprised at you. I had you down as a fighter. Stand by my side, I will protect you & just think how turned on your lady would be to know you were a warrior?

Simon, I knew you would not let me down. The battle takes place at dawn. You up for it?

Bonnie. FYI  & Please, feel free to pass this on to Toe.( I would use an orange crayola, it will be easier for him to read)

Do.... A deer, a female deer
Ray... a drop of golden sun
Me....a name, I call myself
Fa....a long, long way to run

So ....a needle pulling thread
La ....a note that follows so
Ti ...a drink with jam & bread
Which will bring us back to etc, etc......

My Dear Toe....

So you want me to quit?
I can do this little thing
Just as soon as you admit
This Limey is the King

Nothing frightens me
I learned that from my Mama
And it is obvious the best poetry
No longer comes out of Alabama

I can smell the fear
And hear you 2 a shakin’
My friend You & Balladeer
Are history in the makin’....

Why thanks Roniece, Nice to know who your true friends are....actually, it must have been Toe & 'Deer you saw at the side of the road & they would have been either kissing or having a little tiff. If it had been me & one of the others you saw, you would have seen them laying bruised & battered with me standing over them waiting for the paramedics....Thanks for sticking by me  John x

Well, I have little doubt you are related to Lancelot...Talkalot is your obvious name.

Man, you just don't realize how many times Toe and I have gone through this over the years. Some new gunslinger comes into town and we spank him and send him home to momma.

Oh, well...guess I'll have to flex the poetic muscles once again and get my flyswatter out of storage. Lemme know if you're on blood thinners or anything 'cause we don't want to be responsible for anything serious.

'Deer, that is the whole point. You are talking in the past tense when you say 'over the years'. And that is my point.  You guys are past it now, I am of a new breed the likes of which you have never encountered before....Go ahead hot shot, make my day. And no, I am not on any kind of medication. You are obviously on some kind of mind altering substance....one that fills you with false hope & bravado.  Viagra for the brain?

Grinch, You know red coats were worn  in battle to hide the bloodstains? So I guess you can figure out why my opponents are wearing brown pants right?

xTr3m3sT, You are either very wise or psychic & know who is going to come out on top !

quote:

Mike,I know it must be hard for you to accept that a more intelligent foe than you have been used to is emerging. However, these things are the natural order & you should accept that you are a dying breed which will be noted in the history books of Pip under Dinosaur…

BTW,  Having recently been researching my family tree. I discovered that my Irish forefathers emigrated to your fine country to escape the mythical potato famine ( I say mythical because it never happened, they just forgot where they planted them) The Irish side of my family tree were called McMurray which I believe has been adapted over the years & Mack is how some of them are now known. As Toerag has now admitted we are related, he could well be your cousin, scary thought or what ??
