.

A cheap bunch
Of dried flowers
Wrapped in colored paper

Picked up late
At the station on the run
Beside you I laid them
When I finally got home

From work
They weren’t much I know
Just a few small flowers

Yet you kept them
For a year

.

Huan Yi,

That's the way it's supposed to work.  This is beautifully said.

a thought on a wrapping paper should be kept in a treasure box. But I saw no flowers today. I saw stars.
A happy Valentine day to you, dear John.

Because they meant something to her and I assume you meant something to her as well.
