Felix knows just what
the rest of the world
feels about his hood.

It’s not very flattering.

People look down their noses,
and “HUMPH”.  Yeah—“HUMPH”—
it’s a rotten ancient place,
full of human river rats.

That doesn’t faze Felix in the least.
Like the rest of his compatriots,
he merely raises his right arm,
and flips the rest of the world
his middle finger,
and waves it in its face.

Bobby

Dear Bobby, you make me sigh in discomfort for the situation. Home is where there is love, if Felix loves his home he feels warmth. And this is comforting.

Impactful!

Margherita,

Thanks Hon.  Love is one thing there is no shortage of where Felix lives.  It's there in abundance 24/7.

Home is where the heart is, you can take Felix  out of his hood, but you can never take the hood from his heart....

John,

That's very true.  Felix is lucky that way.  He knows where he is at, and likes it there.

Passing shadows,

Felix's hood sticks together against the world.

Felix stands strong in the face of adversity.

He knows who he is and who his friends are and he makes no excuses.

Dear RDB,

Felix and Sally say thanks for the kind invite.  However, they are older now, in their seventies.  The old, grimy, hood is so much a part of them, I’m sure living elsewhere would kill them.
