       Lost Loves

In this empty-midnight
  room,
she has left forever…
an old mirror hangs,
reflecting nothing…
but moonlight,
time and eternity.

Enjoyed, brought a memory right to mind.  My girlfriend has a mirror frame with out a mirror in it, which she sits in front of to comb her hair.  She says in front of the mirror is the place to comb your hair, just because there’s no reflection doesn’t matter. (btw she’s blind, and laffs all the time at things like this)

Secondhanddreampoet,

Geez, that's too bad.  However, that's the way life happens sometimes.  Been there.

Nice work on the poem.

Poignantly beautiful, a sensitively presented heartache.

...vacant, lonely, despairing, lifeless, soulless ~ and painfully sad. ~ all poeticall depicted with an economy of words.

Felt this.

Nice writing. Her reflection seems to be in you now.
