* * * * *

I feel this chill of Arctic Wind
a curse of power from the skin
of a wicked wanderer
whose fate was to become vellum
for the pages of grimoire
which held the passages of stars
observed by sisters three.

It isn't often that I opt
to meddle in the bindings of
others who felt justified
to seal another soul in time
to the chained eternity
of damages ordained for acts
as I do not know the facts--
perhaps this curse is karma's law
a wish upon a monkey's paw--
there's danger lurking for us all.

But after contemplating verse--
I think I can unbind the curse
but first you make an oath to be
a soldier of serenity.

Forsake your curiousity
of books that don't belong to thee!
Keep ye eyes on thine own path
lest ye feel the tripled wrath
of the "eye for eye" as rule,
and be cautious as ye laugh.
Amusement as an epitaph
holds little honor for the dead.
So promise you'll respectfully
be a proper sexton, free,
to choose where which ye tread
and such, honor love and ancestry
while in the gardens of the graves.

* * *

Now gather me these things I need--
some sea salt for its purity,
a cup of Earth for safe return
you'll need that for your balancing.
One white feather to keep peace
a flame to blind you so you'll see
the light that shines behind the lids
of eyes that think absurdity.

Go to the wood and find two twigs
to honor our beginning screed--
for by the leaves of fruitful figs
is sacred taming of our greed.
Guided by the evening star,
walk and pray the Holy hymns--
slowly pace a circle in--deisel--
clockwise to your kin.
Drag a twig to mark the ground
as I circle widdershins
calling down the corners, wind
already knows you, Raphael.

Toss the sagebrush to the flame
as I sing the others names.
"Gabriel! I beckon Thee!
Uriel, please come to me!
Michael, bring your flaming sword
to cut the bindings of this cord!"

I cannot tell you any more,
the rest is from Enochian,
learned by Solomon himself
who braved the very depth of Hell
to pass tradition to the few
who learn through tears The Golden Rule,
and lest ye lust for power too--
there is a reason we are "few".

The tales that I could tell would change
your mind so fast, you'd re-arrange
the yearnings of your naive mind--
for madness is the cost of truth
that can only be re-claimed
by a thousands lives of pain.
So I suggest that ye refrain
from dabbling in witches' games.

Now we express with gratitude
the pardon of the love that rules.
Plant your gardens carefully
reap and sow accordingly
only to the score you need.
Forgive with generosity
a soldier of serenity.
Use your bank of words wisely--

Now go--for love has set you free!

Um, I sure hope this works.

...well done...but uh...Lucy...you goin' to 'splain that unbinding can be taken too far?

I mean...ummm...you know...I mean...see...a person can be so unbound that ummm...well...uh...life can run through them...sorta like...the Big Muddy.
