  WHAT POETS DO

I am a poet,
Through and through,
Driven to do
What poets do:
To feel,
To dream,
To hope,
To care.
To remember,
To search,
To write,
To share.
To question,
To cry,
To learn,
To die.
And leave behind words,
....Just words.
Rather than dust or ashes.
