A crown of sonnets or sonnet corona is a sequence of sonnets usually addressed to some one person, and/or concerned with a single theme.  Each of the sonnets explores one aspect of the theme, and is linked to the preceding and succeeding sonnets by repeating the final line of the preceding sonnet as its first line, and by having its final line be the first line of the succeeding sonnet. With seven sonnets, the first line of the first sonnet is repeated as the final line of the final sonnet, thereby bringing the sequence to a close. This Crown of Sonnets, is dedicated and presented to someone very special. Seven facets of a precious gem reflecting the glow in my heart.

            “The Friendship”
          (Crown of Sonnets #2)

She is the one who makes my soul complete,
and showers me with blessings without end.
Within my heart the music sounds so sweet
to know that she’s my soulmate and my friend.

We share a special bond that is so pure,
that God above must mean that it should be.
A bond that firmly holds so strong and sure,
and promises to last eternally.

Together, hand in hand and soul to soul,
we walk in loving friendship to the light.
In knowing that together we are whole,
we’ll not avoid the dark, nor fear the night.

In times of troubled doubt she is my brace.
Her loving gentle heart restores my faith.

All of you dear friends…
My grateful appreciation to all of you kindred spirits
who so graciously responded to the “Crown of Sonnets”.
The aura of your glow warmed my soul and your kind words
of encouragement touched upon my heart.
This humble poet thanks you most sincerely.
