A crown of sonnets or sonnet corona is a sequence of sonnets usually addressed to some one person, and/or concerned with a single theme.  Each of the sonnets explores one aspect of the theme, and is linked to the preceding and succeeding sonnets by repeating the final line of the preceding sonnet as its first line, and by having its final line be the first line of the succeeding sonnet. With seven sonnets, the first line of the first sonnet is repeated as the final line of the final sonnet, thereby bringing the sequence to a close. This Crown of Sonnets, is dedicated and presented to someone very special. Seven facets of a precious gem reflecting the glow in my heart.

            “The Princess”
         (Crown of Sonnets #1)

A Princess most divine like days of old,
her eyes, they shine like emeralds bright and green.
She wears a crown of silver, not of gold,
most stunning God’s creation that I’ve seen.

A heart that’s pure and light like driven snow;
a soul that gives such warmth and flies so free;
no other gentle spirit do I know,
that fills my heart with gladness such as she.

Outshines the sun, the moon and stars above,
She rules the earth and sky with gentle touch.
Her essence radiates and sends a love
that thrills my soul and lights my life so much.

She is the very air I breathe that’s sweet.
She is the one who makes my soul complete.

gentle Sir MoonShadow
the lady who lives on the Dark side of the Moon
must be a happy lady indeed

how delicately exquisite is this first of your crown for her
more precious than the silver you have placed upon her head

A crown of love, embellished with the finest of jewels, words full of devotion,
softness, tenderness, and above all, Love.

A radiant crown one that any princess would be glorified to wear, being the most loved in the kingdom!

I love sonnets....

Well, now, see the ladies swoon...
and that's not hard to do, we won't
even swat at the heat...

well done, Sir.

On to number 2.

All of you dear friends…
My grateful appreciation to all of you kindred spirits

The aura of your glow warmed my soul and your kind words

Ah, dear knight I think I may swoon..
Such beauty in your words..
they come straight from your heart.

I am about to retire to my chambers for this evening..

I shall look forward to reading the others at the break of dawn.

With an ever watchful eye,
Enchantress
