Forever In Your Heart

0 posted 2007-08-28 04:53 PM

Here I am,
in the middle,
of the beginning,

Wondering what if?
purpose of my life?
Am I happy?

Which path to trod?
It is not the end yet,
too many days left.

Beginnings are happy,
full of hope and promise,
laughter and joy,

Endings are harsh,
painful, closure,
final,

Middle, is hard,
confused, stuck,
lost in translation,

The meaning of life,
of it all,
of me,

Where do I go from here?

Been there, done that ... ...

Headaches arises, sharp agony like daggers
piercing into a mind that thinks too much
Behold the air head who smiles at nothing!

Nothing complex, just living
Eating, breathing
Blah, blah

Eyes the person who clutches hair irate like
Why think so much?

One step (day) at a time
    let your heart lead
      and your feet will follow.
        Enjoy the journey.

I follow the moon. It leads me to tomorrow so faithfully.

Full of thought, this one. Nice.

ahhh, that age old question that seems to have no answer so I always tell myself....go, into tomorrow....    Nicely done sweetie and it is sooo good to see your words here again.

I like the feel of this...I have often wondered if I am making choices based on feelings or choices based on wisdom...and which is best for my situation...James

On to the next poem always helps but then you were going to do that anyway.
Like the reflections and thought.

"Middle, is hard,
confused, stuck,
lost in translation,

The meaning of life,
of it all,
of me,

Where do I go from here?"

Expressive, yet such innocently articulated emotions.  Very well written.

A serious introspection there, ARH;  one I believe we all submit to, at one point or another, no matter how good, or how bad our circumstances.  I would venture to say, that it does not get any easier as time goes on - the questions remain; not only that, they get tougher, harder, driven home mercilessly with the relentless pounding of Time’s unyielding hammer. The “translation” forces you to look as much forward, as back - to what one has accomplished, what could have been done otherwise, or better; but not to wallow in pity, but rather as a tool, or an aid, to select the best path in what remains of life’s journey.

Fate places opportunities in our path, sometimes obstacles, upon which we act accordingly; thus, I believe we have a partial control of our destiny, and we do the best we can.

I am rambling on.....hence, thank you for the glimpse.
