two dog woman walks under bridge trees
talks to god about her sons
and the war over there
with the peekaboo people

her tattoos are brown with sad eyes
she pets them when she rubs her belly
calls them her new children
pure bread pentecostal apache

the mow men have seen her magic
when she touches trees and roses
wears her green thumb gloves
says you have to smile for them

so they know they are alive things
not just dying wood waiting for paper
and she bowls on thursdays
takes momma jane to costco after

then to dq for a blizzard on summer days

this one is very reminiscint of Birthday Fifth D.  That one was a favorite of mine, and this one is right up there, with that one.  yep, bind it big D, bind it. The world would be in for such a treat.  *kotc*

(soft chuckle)

oh..I meant to take nothing away from how good I truly think the poet and the poetry is... I just rarely use masterful...

but masterful fits... quite well

grand-fine (powerful) ‘write’!

I am particularly fond of:

“pure bread pentecostal apache”

AND:

“…you have to smile for them
so they know they are alive things
not just dying wood waiting for paper”

serious, sustained applause!!

Hello DS

You write with such a compassionate pen, and cursive honesty.

drift to the folks they are about...thank you all, I am truly humble by your thoughts.

smiling here

yet again you take the primal image, and without dressing it up in gossamer, you manage resonate memorable emotions that stir up a squirm

a "blizzard" eh?

Amazing how something so cold can seem so hot...

Can I call you "master" too? *laughing*

You do not disappoint, m'friend.
