Done my bit for pollution
Just bought an EPB
Now I put the fear of God
In everyone I see

Racing down the pavement
The law says that I can
A battery powered Nightmare
Will be the Bane of man

Top in all the hated lists
No license do you need
Just a plastic helmet
And a love of speeeeeed

Too fast for pedestrians
Yet slow for all the cars
Hated by the other bikes
Who have to pedal Hard !

Going up the hills a breeze
Cruising is great fun
Racing bikers puff and wheeze
Puzzled by how you won

PS for the Tech Heads you can fit an electric hub motor to your existing bike powered up by batteries. I am using a 450w Kristal at 48V good for 40kph+ and with the 8 AH Batt and a little pedaling 35km

Hi M

Quite the opposite you in fact get more exercise you can pedal as hard as you like, it means you can go further than you could before without getting worn out so it is a bit of a bonus and encourages bike usage. When you get totally puffed it can bring you home pedal free.

Also very helpful for those that would like to ride a bike but are put off because they can’t manage hills or have a medical condition.

I am sort of joking a bit in the poem… I have a basket on the front of the bike it means I can take “Happy” the Shih Tzu who is seven years old to parks and tracks she wouldn’t be able to walk to…I think she likes it better than me.

I like that idea. I have a trail bike and a trail of 40 miles starting from my town. But it is always uphill coming back when you are the most tired after several hours of  riding. That sounds interesting...

But it is still funny to see the look on the faces of racing cyclists  in all the gear getting overtaken by Shih Tzu in a basket on the front of a Mountain Bike

I looked it up on google  ...and it seems there are many of them in England.

I am going to check up on them or the parts needed to make it electric. As I am not so young anymore and anything that will make it more enjoyable would be fine with me.

For the tech Heads....

I made a mistake the 8AH batteries were in fact R12000 packs 2x24v  (12AH) which I find are good for 60 kms....

I do pedal a lot when I dont need help and help the motor when it is working
