A pearl of ghastly
tales of death,
A gaze to which
We die.

A curse
we cannot break
Or steal, An anger
We can't fight.

It gazes down
into your soul,
The blackness shreds
your mind,

The sorrow is now
drowned in fear,
The hatred turned
to lies, Those who died
and those who cried,
Looked in the
Ravens eyes.

Dark and ominous.
I've stared down a raven or two, found them quite persistent when they wanted something I had.

I enjoyed this

Ravens are among top on my list of favorite birds.  I enjoy their playful, clever nature ~ the Ravens that I live around are hardy, resourceful and far too busy to be menacing.  Unless they decide they want one's shiney treasure.

Enjoyed the poem.

I like a good dark poem, and this was very good.
