Lost in a world, I know nothing of
Wondering why I am
where I am
Knowing from a young age
that happiness
would never be mine
grateful, I will always be
appreciating all that I have
but it is not enough
It is not what I want

I am lost in a world, I know nothing of
I see the beauty
I see the light
I see the hope
of a brighter day
But not for me!

It was my choice,
my need
I couldn't help it
it was the pull
with no way out
I'm in too deep

I am lost in a world, I know nothing of
reaching out
I find a void
Looking forward
I see no future
emptiness is all I feel
loneliness is what I have
Nothing to hold on to
Can I go on....

Do I have the strength
Am I brave enough to face the fact?
That I need you,
to brign me back!

I have felt this way...plenty of times

and today, I still have moments now and then
