Is It worth it? I ask myself Always a struggle No matter what I do It’s never enough for you I’ve reached the edge! I almost fell, holding on by a thread… If pushed again I will fall completely Never to be seen again The world, you want from me Is it what you're willing to give? My mind, body and soul, you want to own How willing are you to give the same Is my love not enough? The tears shed, did they mean anything? Must you also take my soul? and poison my mind… Selfish world you live in Selfless world I grew up in Self satisfaction is what you always seek Have you ever thought of what I need? Is it worth it? Should I fight against the current? Giving up is not my style! Will I ever see a change? Have I been fighting a battle, already lost? I have always believed… That one could tame the beast within. Lots of questions that I can hear as I read... I can also picture the scene. Well done except for you need a space between if and pushed in line eight. a good commitee can decimate communication. |
