Fed the cat
Walked the dog
Vacuumed the mat

Washed hand twice
Dried with apron.
Spotted the melting ice.

Stretched arms and a big yearn
I finally got to sit down
After a little meditation
I turned the screen on.

Read verses again and again
to share the laugh and the heart pain.
When the time to churn my brain

“Mommy, you burned our spaghetti”.

All words jumped out my soul train.

I let out a big guffaw when I got to the end of your poem! I do so know what you mean!

I've been known to burn a pot or two of spaghetti when I have been absorbed in the trials, tribulations, wisdom, beauty, and jubilations of pip poets!

Thank you for my morning's smile!

Oh, oh, it happens just so!

That was a funny read!

I wish I would never feel the sting of guilt when I indulge in my favorite creative activities!

Love,
Margherita
