.

I am man
Only not too loudly

Should you see me
It is usually in passing
That non-descript
Unhandsome element
Without which however
Nothing is sure
To work that well

When things go wrong
From a machine repair
To a dirty war
Somehow I’m always there

Then it’s back on the wall
Til the next urgent call
If not in a box
Covered with flags and flowers

.

"I" is a great man.
Man are great because he was made first and shouldered great responsibilities. However he blamed Eve for the bite.

a very powful and manly poem.
enjoyed as always.

The ending was even more poignant for me because these lines brought to mind the very best of men... and how they do what needs to be done simply because someone has to... knowing there's no glory. Excellent work!
