         Love Still Stands!

Beyond the night’s last lament
on the specter of our ‘differences’
and all who die unremembered,
here in the trembling twilight
(just beyond dawn)
when the forest quivers
with tiny, wild whispering things,
and moments murmur
hung on the cusp of Time,
unweaving ‘past’ and ‘future’
in the tenuous ‘now’
as even Time withdraws....
I am left alone in truth,
that humility is the finest virtue
and every poem....a benediction,
that only Love still stands!

This is the perfect poem. It's impossible to say which lines I like best because I love it all! Beautifully stated.

I usually read your poems twice to double my reading pleasure! The first time through I read rather rapidly because I want to see what's coming up! The second time through is read verbally ~ slowly and with meaning.

"when the forest quivers
with tiny, wild whispering things,
and moments murmur
hung on the cusp of Time,"

I got little quivers of my own when I read those lines. Beautifully penned, Sir Poet.

~ May your loving pen forever stand the test of time.
