And there in a fable of old
forgive for they know not.
Now in the laws of the land
ignorance no mitigation
for an enacted crime.

Easily done by everyone loved
this pretence of ignorance
but the punishment lives in soul
and repeats as karma, you know.

Not yet evolved to forgive
hands remain forever unclean
because dirt sticks under the nails
and the scrub, scrub, scrub,
leaves an unsightly bruise
immortally blue and visible.

But this just the juggler of life
in throw of thoughts into air
focusing hard on the catching of all
and walking away head high.

Pity the one with hands too small
to wrap it all up with applause
for I see now the throw of thought into word
out of control spinning
and landing in the unpardonable
sin of ignorance
that no forgiveness can lift
from out of eternity!

You always write poems, which leave one pondering. They are high quality writings, truly.

"Forgive for they know not" ... I just read yesterday an interpretation of these compassionate words which is enlightening. A question of awakening to the truth, awakening to Love, which is all there is ... For how long will we be stuck in this sad phase of "ignorance". There are signs of more and more people who are awakening to LOVE.
In the name of true Love, only LOVE can be generated.

Thank you for your profound words.

Love,
Margherita

Thank you, Dixie and Margherita, and Margherita, EVERYONE will awaken to love but sadly for some it may be too late.

"Pity the one with hands too small
to wrap it all up with applause"

Always powerful and evocative, once again, your words hit the mark.
