You touch me across these miles.
Funny how I feel you.
I dream you. I see you.
I know the real you.

You touch me across these miles.
I hear you in these songs,
I feel your breath on my skin,
righting all these wrongs.

Funny how I need you...
so far away, but so near.
I know we'll be good together,
and there's nothing I fear.

I'm yours and only yours,
and if nothing else, a friend,
you already know I love you
and that will never end.

I'll be there this weekend,
floating across these miles
to you.

Lovely poem.

I know what it means to be so far away "across these miles"...

Thanks for sharing.

Oh! I especially like the feel you/ real you rhyme.  Nicely done.  And the feel of the whole thing, light but with depth.

I'm so sorry your trip was cancelled but I'm going to make lots of wishes for you that you can go soon soon soon!!!

Loved this  - when I lived far away from here, I missed someone, just like you've written. I'm so glad to be back where he is just minutes away.

Hugs~~
