So, this is my first post.  I’ve had writer's block for the last ten years, out of nowhere last week I picked up a notebook and a pencil and started writing again. It felt right =)  Please let me know what you think, I’m not sure if I still have “IT” but can’t fault me for trying =)

Her arms are open wide,
To take me in to her womb,
Her lack of color is a guide,
Intriguing me as if it was art,
I try to step back,
    To be cautious and aware,
But the sounds of her waves,
    Keep me in a stare,
Gray clouds surround us,
    In every possible direction,
Black skies engulf us,
And leave me no other selection,
I step in to her grasp,
She takes me in to her embrace,
I feel her cold hands,
    Piercing in to my soul,
Taking my heart over,
    Seizing me in her control,
This is it,
    The time has now come,
To swallow my being,
Punish me for what I have done,
As I take my last breath,
I feel her enter my lungs,
She swells inside me,
    And cover me,
Her long lost son.

There is no fault in trying to write and the way you let up to being the son at the end is interesting as a starter. Welcome aboard!

We all go through periods where our hearts don't sing.  The key is not the 10 year wait but rather when your heart sang again...YOU LISTENED.  Congratulations!  Welcome to Passions...with a very worthy first posting.  Some strive for quantity and others for quality.  There are a gifted few who can accomplish both.  I encourage you to let your creativity shine.  Risk!  You are among friends.
