Away Mississippi mud between toes wildflower little girl dreams in mist strawberry blond head too full of wonder and it’s past time cameos and pearls rest in a box an old fashioned girl’s taste there they shine in lost grandeur dressed up with no where to go much too casual in the elegance there is no mystery in a world apart as I talk alone to blank white paper do even the words in bold black last should I have taken a second look when I completely gave my heart away “all romantics meet the same fate”…Joni Mitchell |
