Wandering around in dark of night
The soldiers thought all was fine
But Switerland made a wrong turn
And somehow invaded Liechtenstein

The leader, with egg on his face,
Yelled “beat a quick retreat’
Heard in the night was the sound
Of the scuffling of Swiss feet

Quietly they tiptoed back
To the soil from whence they came
Carried on like nothing happened
During the annual war game

The residents of Liechtenstein
Lay wondering in night
Whether or not to protest
To shut up or start a fight

The Swiss offered an apology
The ‘Steins leader agreed to accept
And so the invasion of Liechtenstein
Under the rug was swept

But in a small village on the border
With no one around to please
Confiscated the Swiss Army knives
Their chocolate and their cheese!

How interesting! As they say, truth is stranger than fiction. I was glad to read something about Liechtenstein, as my grandma's family hailed from there many years ago. I'd love to see it someday. Thank you for sharing the story!

I hope someday you get the chance to live like you were dying....
