one cat’s tongue, he whined
as he sailed on paper seas
no more letters left
in the alphabets of creativity

yon rows the crew of others
waves breaking o’er their bow
like pardoned spill-waters
pour off rills of the brow

no wind, he muttered slyly
as if to coyly say
‘tis the fault of all that’s regular
that words won’t come his way

out on the sea of vast vistas
laden with promises of inspirations
his dingy dallies, his sails vacate
and drafts of zephyrs drift imitations

across the dust-bowls of his mind
and sagebrush dance like debutantes
whose beaus forgot their time

Great imagery here...

"no more letters left

I disagree, this piece is extremely creative.

Enjoyed!
