Yet Still

I hold on to a faded paper heart
placed in my hand in a bad decision
thin are these curved cut lines
I go on yes I go on yet I still feel
and I love you, I love you still

I know this feeling...

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

Love's no less real or deep because it may have been born of bad decisions... and it stays just as steadfastly, sometimes more.

Excellent write!
