This is actually a song my band sings but I thought I'd share it with ya'll and see what you think. Verse 1: Now there he stands His mamma's only boy She's been there through the hard times She's laughed with the joy So he asks her one more time To be there by his side Chorus: Cause he's going off to war To keep this country free So mamma understand that you little soldier boy has now become a man He's gonna fight this war He's gonna do what's right So kiss him now and keep him in your prayers at night Verse 2: Stepping on the plane He turns and waves good-bye Hoping it's not for the last time But at peice if it is He turns from his mother So he doesn't see her cry Chorus Repeat Bridge: He's gonna fight this war He's gonna do what's right So mamma kiss him now And keep him in your prayers at night Know yourself before you try to know someone else. |
