Between the Lines

Turning it over
wondering just how similar we are
cautioned by increased heartbeats
that mind dance the words
of yesterday.

Pulling me through the tunnel
light stretching the day's meaning
walking me over grates
eyes peeking through
the collection's loss
supporting need.

Scrambling the choices,
integrity energizing
the shadow's haunt
to a silent theme, I come alive
(subtly)
a misty dawn
to break those chains
and linger into tomorrow's...
